( this is probably something of a poor decision, a whim he should obviously resist. the pent-up energy he has is something that's easy to ignore. he isn't interested in hook ups, but both one night stands and anything longer would be... tricky in his circumstances. he travels often with his work and his family comes first when he has time away. it'd be a lie to call him lonely. he has incredibly little excuse for the situation he's gotten into following a whim.
he's out of his own country and, admittedly, a few drinks in when he first hears about the dragon. it'd caught his inebriated interest immediately. all of his countless travels and he'd never heard once of a dragon being rented out like this. brothels were filled with dog and cat hybrids, but more unusual crossbreeds filled the gaps. rabbits and foxes, wolves and tigers more rarely. a dragon was truly unheard of.
and he hadn't been able to get it out of his head, even when the liquor cleared and the morning sun came. he kept thinking of the dragon someone was only too willing to show him pictures of.
that's how he ended up here, his wallet lighter, and that exact dragon with him.
the first stop had been a particularly good restaurant that childe had nothing but praises for. he'd ordered their best dishes and finest wines. when they finished, childe veered away from the parking instead to lead them along the sidewalk. the night air was blessedly cooler than the sweltering heat of the day and childe could only breathe an appreciative sigh even though the weather was the last thing on his mind. )
Well? ( he asked, amicable and smiling in the face of the hybrid's pleasantness. his voice was a deep smooth timbre that childe found he liked too much. ) I told you it was good, didn't I?
[being wined and dined before the night's main event is nothing new to zhongli. after all, only those who truly have money to throw about are the ones who buy him. and even if this life is not what he had once envisioned for himself, zhongli is still particular about getting things done right. though he doesn't find his duties difficult to accomplish... especially if his customer for the night is pleasing to the eyes.
his tail curls around his body and drapes over his shoulders like a rich heiress' thick fur shawl, both to keep it out of the way, and to strike a pleasing visual.]
You did. [zhongli would have sounded like an adult agreeing with a child to pacify them, if it were not for the sincerity in his tone. he definitely enjoyed that dinner.] I did not know that this city housed such a place... You have a knack for finding hidden gems.
